Your Guide to Bra Fitting

The Three Factors to Fit

   Nine times out of ten, a woman wearing the wrong bra size is guilty of over exaggerating her bra size. Well Ladies it's time you understand how sizing works, and how to judge the right fit, you will need to consider three factors the band, the straps, and the cups.

 1. The band

 If you are seeing rolls of flesh (back Fat) around the side wings, it's likely the band is too tight, cinching the skin. Don't blame your body for this one. Many women mistakenly think that the flesh that bulges up around the band and under the armpits would go away if they lose some weight maybe? but the real solution to your problem is try a smaller band size this will allow a snug band fit and smoother appearance in the back area.  

 2 The. Straps

Unlike bands and cups, which have to do with size, straps are often matter of the bra style. What you are aiming for is a bra that is absolutely level across the back, but you don't want to achieve that look by overtightening the straps to the point they dig into your skin. The straps should be just tight enough to hold the bra in place on your shoulders. Anything tighter than that will lead to a bra that rides up, and pinching of the shoulders, this doesn't necessarily mean they're too tight. You might need a bra that is more supportive or one that has thicker straps. To tell if your straps fit correctly, slip the straps off your shoulders so they rest on your arms. Your bra should stay up and remain in place without the help of the straps. It's ok if the cups flop over, but the band should not bulge.

 3. The Cups

The most common problems with cup size is they are either too big or too small. The cups are too big if they pucker, have wrinkles in them or there is extra looseness on the top. In this case try a smaller cup or a different bra style such as demi cup, but what if your issue is less about wrinkles and more about overflow? Chances are you should go up a cup size or two. Other warning signs include squished breast and underwire that doesn't lie flat or pokes the breast tissue. The wire should lie smoothly against your sternum and ribs, if there is a space go up a cup size.
